Teen Etiquette Dinners

An Evening of Elegance and Etiquette

This event includes a refined and educational dining experience where we guide your teen through the essentials of table manners in an elegant, hands-on setting. This event will not only teach essential etiquette but also build confidence in social dining situations.

Over the course of this 3-hour event, teens will be led through a formal four-course dinner, where they’ll learn:

  • Silverware Placement: Understanding the setup and how to recognize which utensils to use for each course.
  • Napkin Etiquette: Proper ways to use and place napkins throughout the meal.
  • Proper Utensil Handling: How to hold silverware, cut food appropriately, and maintain proper posture while dining.
  • Resting Position for Silverware: Where to place utensils during and between courses.
  • Eating Rolls & Bread Properly: How to break and butter bread without making a mess, and how to pass food politely at the table.
  • Eating Soup Properly: Techniques for properly using a soup spoon, how to sip from the spoon without slurping, and how to handle soup in a formal setting.
  • Navigating Difficult Foods: Tips on handling challenging foods, like cutting through meat or eating complex dishes with grace.
  • American vs. Continental Styles of Dining: Learn the difference in each dining style and silverware placements, and where you might encounter these different styles of dining.
  • Ordering at Restaurants: Do’s and don’ts when reading menus, ordering, and interacting with servers. What to order in different social situations.
  • Tipping Etiquette: A guide to appropriate tipping for exceptional service.

This will be an enriching experience for teens to build their social skills and elevate their dining knowledge in a fun, relaxed environment.

Dress Code: Semi-formal attire (Ladies: nice dress, Gentlemen: coat & tie)
