Teens will also gain insight into how expressing gratitude can build strong relationships and leave lasting positive impressions that lead to future invitations. Ballroom and Line Dance Instruction:
Social Dancing with a Modern Twist! Dance your way to better social connections! Students will learn ballroom and current line dances that blend classic moves with contemporary music. From the Foxtrot to the Cha Cha Cha to the Waltz, these dance styles foster teamwork and help students practice social skills while having fun on the dance floor with their friends.
Cotillion isn’t just about learning how to dance or eat properly—it’s about giving your preteen or teen the tools they need to navigate the world with confidence and charm. Whether it’s a formal dinner or another social event, they'll be ready to shine!
Why Should Your Preteen Attend?
Our etiquette events are designed to energize and engage preteen and teens while providing valuable opportunities for developing communication and social skills. Each session offers more than just learning dance steps—it combines etiquette training with ballroom and line dancing, helping teens build confidence, teamwork, and effective social interaction. Teens will practice key social skills through partner trading, introductions, and conversation starters, reinforcing the etiquette and communication tools they’ve learned. As they learn new steps each week, they’ll also develop grace, poise, and meaningful social connections, preparing them for both current and future social events.
Under the expert guidance of the BRJC director—a experienced dance instructor—students will gain a strong foundation in both ballroom and line dancing. These dances not only improve coordination, rhythm, and timing, but also encourage collaboration and learning how to follow cues in a social setting. Alongside dance instruction, the etiquette training helps teens build the social skills needed to navigate various events with ease and confidence. By working together, teens will boost their self-assurance, develop a sense of connection with others, and learn how to interact confidently in a wide range of social situations. Our events create a positive, supportive environment where teens can grow as individuals, preparing them for success in current and future social events throughout their lives.
The Bentonville-Rogers Junior Cotillion program empowers teens to navigate social events with ease, grace, and respect. Parents will love knowing their teens are gaining these important life skills, setting them up for success in both their personal and professional lives.
